Vuosittainen jäsenmaksu on perushintaisilta jäseniltä 30 euroa ja opiskelijajäseniltä ja työttömiltä 10 euroa. Jäsenenä saat sähköpostitiedotteet, joissa kerrotaan yhdistyksen tapahtumista, sekä muista kulttuurin ja eri uskontojen parissa tapahtuvista asioista. Jäsenenä tuet tekemäämme kulttuurityötä sekä pääset osallistumaan mielenkiintoisiin tapahtumiin.

Forum for Culture and Religion FOKUS

Forum for Culture and Religion FOKUS (previously Kristillinen kulttuuriliitto -The Union for Christian Culture) was founded in 1947. Among its founding fathers were teachers from the University of Helsinki and the Technical University of Helsinki, cultural personalities from the Church and artists from different kinds of fields. We wish to contribute to the ongoing discussion in society and to increase the interaction between culture and society. At the center of all activity we find values, ethical questions and an assessment of different cultural phenomena. From the very beginning, FOKUS has striven to be non-denominational and ecumenical. Since 1980's FOKUS has organized a Cultural Forum every other year.

About the Cultural Forum

The most recent Cultural Forum took place in Hämeenlinna. The forum dealt with the theme of identity in a changing world of climate change, financial crisis and multiculturality. It continued the tradition of the Forums, the first of which was arranged in 1980 in Tampere. The idea behind the forums is to offer a meeting point for people and ideas, and place and opportunity for discussion concerning religion, society, arts, and the politics. The Forum offers opinions on where our society is now, and most of all, where it should be heading. The 12th Forum: ”Religions and Cultures – from Confrontation to Genuine Dialog” was held in Espoo 2006. Forum's material was published in a book ”At the Center of the Sacred”(Pyhän silmässä, toim. Antti Toivanen). The publication serves the discussion we need to integrate immigrants better and to dispel diverse prejudices.
The 14th Cultural Forum will be arranged in Turku October 2010 .
